The Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG ("Robert Bosch Industrail Trust KG") (old members of the company management, agents of the Bosch Family and other eminent people from the industry such as Hans Peter Stihl (Stihl powertools)) has 93% of the voting rights, but no shares. The remaining shares and voting-rights are held by the descendants of the company founder Robert Bosch. In 2002 the German "Manager-Magazin" valued the capital of the Bosch-Family at €3.1 Billion (about $3.968 Billion). With this, the Bosch-Family is the 15th richest German family.

Automotive engineering

The biggest division of Bosch is the automotive systems division which generates about 65% of the revenue (2003). This division comprises : Gasoline Systems' and Diesel Systems with the core-products injection and motor management, Chassis Systems (ex. anti-lock brakes , ESP), Energy and Auxillary Systems (ex. alternators, starters), Car Multimedia (Brand: Blaupunkt), Car Electronics (control units and semiconductor elements) and Automotive Exchange' (spare parts).

With 23% of the turnover (2003) this is the second biggest division of Bosch. With electric tools (Bosch, Skil, Dremel), Thermal devices (Junkers, Buderus), Bosch-Security Systems und Broadband networks. Furthermore it holds shares of the consumer-goods manufacturer BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH (BSH Bosch and Siemens consumer goods GmbH) with the brands Bosch, Siemens AG, Constructa, Neff, Gaggenau among others.
